I totally get it. You want to travel with your adult kids bc we get this fantasy idea of how great it will be to make memories but the reality is you end up dealing with assorted adult personalities that you might not have otherwise chosen to travel with if they weren’t related to you. I do this too with my mid twenties kids and there’s always a few “ moments” of never again!

Avoid Europe in general in July and August. Spring and fall is so much better. Calabria and Puglia are much less crowded.

I love the Amalfi Coast! One of my favorite places in the world! Now Pompeii? Trash in the heat. lol.

We just spent a week in LA and Joshua Tree. Our 16 and 19 yo were miserable and it truly was a rough vacation all around. I’m glad to not be alone in this sudden desire to not do family trips.

What a bunch of nasty judgmental responses. My “kid” is 34 and we do vacation with each other (she is married) as we enjoy each other’s company. We may pay part, they pay some dinner bills. They are family! Lighten up people.
