Just incredibly overpowered by Opening Night (1977) which we watched last night for the first time, in honor of Gena. Huge Cassavetes fans, and Gena fans, but somehow this film slipped through. As much as A Woman Under The Influence is the greatest performance ever, this was something even more sur-real. It's incredible how much human incandescence she was able to transfer to celluloid. Just unequaled pure conjuring. And here Nick outraged & frustrated at the film bombing.
