In the early ‘00s (like 2003) I occasionally assisted a costume designer who was based in LA. I was based in New York, so our working relationship involved lots of phone tag & voicemails. She made a new outgoing message seasonally where she shared what she was up to and marveled at the weather and stuff like that. It was really cute and I still think about how fun it was to hear something new each time we worked together and I had to leave her a voicemail.
