Awful. 2/10 would not recommend. Took til my baby was 3 months old before I felt I had my abdominal strength back enough to do a physical on demanding job…and it was a process to get strength back.

I had an emergency c-section, 10/10 would not recommend. I didn’t have time to heal, I had no support. Literally was cut open at 34 weeks pregnant 2 hours after going to the hospital, so some ptsd there (not good for healing). Laughing hurt, walking hurt, everything hurt, but I didn’t want to take the heavy meds they were offering because I wanted to pump for my nicu baby. I got extremely swollen and 3x wouldn’t fit (I was s pre pregnancy, and m during my pregnancy). Also ppd = bad for recovery.

I’ve had both and honestly prefer the c section. I had my second one last week and it was more painful than my first csection but I still feel overall I’m healing and moving around well. It’s week 2 for me and my pain is minimal .

My c section experience was great overall! I was able to be on my feet the next day with very bearable pain and when I got home I was able to do everything like before. It took me like a week to feel like my old self

It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. For one it’s super weird being awake hearing doctors poking around inside you making comments After the drugs wore off it didn’t hurt but was uncomfortable while I was in bed Walking was a whole other story and sucked. It’s been 4.5 years and if I stand up to fast or move just the wrong way it feels like I’m tearing everything apart even though technically it’s fine
