The ‘Muslim imagery’ here of the Palestinian kaffiyeh is the olives leaves, fish nets, and trade routes of Palestinian history and culture. I guess it’s all just all the same brown people on the map for our simple minded Orientalist with a ‘deep cultural knowledge’.
