Jesus was a man on earth and being that he is the Son of God, his earthly attributes are important. Why was he Jewish? His mother Mary was by her lineage from King David. Jesus also celebrated Jewish holidays like Passover and Festival of Lights. The Jewish disciples would call Jesus “Rabbi” which is Hebrew for Teacher.
