Day 26 stradaeasel - I am known to paint in series, I can easily do 30 paintings on a single theme. So it is no wonder that I resort to my favourite subjects again and again. Like this persimmons, I painted a very similar setup couple of years ago with oils. Today it was gouache. With only ultramarine blue on my palette, the blues are quite muted coz I wanted to focus on the orange. The addition of turquoise to my palette would’ve changed that completely.
