I did something that was so hard, but so overdue yesterday. After 15 years of no contact, I cleared the air with the man who raised me. My childhood was not pretty and there were questions I needed answered. And they were. I heard words that I wish I'd heard as a child, but at least I finally heard them.. The load I've been carrying for so long feels quite a bit lighter today.
