There are church idioms that can be harmful to new believers. Idioms such as "personal relationship with Jesus" need to be undergirded with a robust ecclesiology, and misiology. To some "person relationship with Jesus" can translate into an excuse to neglect fellowship. Contradicting Hebrews 10:24-25.
