Over the last 6 months I've lost over 4k followers on IG. "When did this page get political?" "Stick to your normal content!" "You're just gonna keep losing followers!" Here's the thing though: 1. Human rights aren't political. 2. I've always been "political" and spoken up against violence, oppression and injustice. 3. No amount of engagement can buy my integrity. No brand deal is worth my humanity. No follower is more important than my values.
