Appleton currently issues 135 class B liquor licenses. It solidifies the idea that this is a REALLY HARD area to be an artist. I know that I only generate about 5% of my revenue from the area and almost exclusively at Art at the Park. Meanwhile about 2/3 of my sales are split between Illinois and Minnesota, the rest is out of area, Door county and Madison. That means thousands in sales tax, thousands in food and lodging revenue is pouring out our area. And that’s just one artist. So….
