I’ve been remixing officially now for 10 years, and I can say a few pros and cons, thread - Pros: working to deadlines helps with original music because you actually finish tracks, the routine of this means you lose the ‘leave it on the hard drive’ vibe and your music actually sees light of day. I get to work with some amazing artists and labels, from majors and A listers through to white labels and independents.
