Let's be honest. The the American and world public in general have short attention spans. This war will continue until it's culmination with the destruction of Hamas. Israel, while sensitive to world opinion, know that it was and is biased against Jews and Israel and that if they yield to their demands it would inevitably lead to the destruction of Israel. To paraphrase Golda Meir, it is better to be loathed and alive than dead and pitied. Eventually the war will end and attention will wander.
