I was trying to wrap my head around nostalgia. Why it is we love so dearly to reflect as opposed to being present and looking forward.
I think it’s not who we were - nor what we did when we were younger that causes this. It’s about who we are now.
We lose touch with the playful naïveté. We go to the water and no longer cannonball without care. We’ve forgotten what wonder curiosity can bring and live routinely. We abide by fictitious societal rules.
So from now on - I’m rolling the dice.
