14 yrs ago I re-played FFX with Eng dub / sub to improve my English.
During the departure scene of Tidus, I discovered that Yuna was saying “I love you” instead of the original Japanese “ありがとう”, which means “Thank you” or “Rare”.
It amazed me how “I love you” conveys an eternal feeling toward the love she has for him, while “ありがとう” truly gives me a sense of finality, saying goodbye and ending things.
23ys ago, FFX was released, I was 11, my mum said Id never be a child again.
