TIL, while doing some cursory research on what a term I was using to describe a character of mine actually meant, that MMA and WWE are two drastically different things. One is scripted, deliberately over-the-top, and is driven by plot and popularity rather than actual skill... and the other is MMA (which I also found out isn't a "league"; it's legit just an acronym for "mixed martial arts"). It might be a no-brainer to some, but as somebody who doesn't care about that stuff, it was news to me.
