Not my most beautiful photo, but I find it interesting nonetheless:
An Osprey, tending its nest, at the tsunami warning siren, in the community of Taft, Lincoln City, Ore. I shot this photo Sunday, a couple of hours prior to sunset, when the rain was diminishing, and the prevailing color in the sky was gray, which is not my favored lighting conditions, so I went high-key.
Lastly, I've read that most of the tsunami sirens on our US coasts are re-purposed WWII-era air raid sirens. Is that true?
