So... for those of you who don't follow me on Instagram, this is what I do. I'm basically an automata maker (mechanical toys for grownups), but I also build orreries and antikythera mechanism replicas. Google search is your friend here if that means nothing! The machine I'm currently working on is a replica of a writing automaton by a fella called Pierre Jaquet Droz, from way back in 1780. The machine will be progammable and able to write any sentence of up 42 characters. I must be mad... 😳
