I once dated a guy who broke up with me because he said I was "complacent". In the 5 years since that breakup I've completed my MA (he said my going back to school would be an inconvenience to him), got a six figure job (due to my networking efforts that he scoffed at), bought a 3 family home (I introduced him to a great homeownership program) and an now running my own business...and my children's book comes out in about a month.🤷🏽‍♀️
