Self sacrifice and martyrdom is expected from women and we do it at the expense of our own health. Perhaps the pandemic showed us that if we don’t take care of ourselves, nobody will. Which seems like selfishness to those expecting martyrdom. Perhaps it is the case of: to the privileged equality feels like oppression?
