Oofdah rejection is a beast! A lot of things to consider but here's one: rejection can make it feel, in our bodies, like we are in danger, because from an evolution standpoint, rejection was very dangerous for us in the wilderness.

I go straight back to work. Everything else is giving up and thats not an option for me. Also im not financially dependent on my art so it's less scary.

Sometimes politely and rationally asking why you were rejected can help gain perspective. Keep in mind that the art world has changed dramatically with often thousands of applications at a time for few opportunities. It’s all extremely competitive right now and not necessarily a reflection on you or your work. I personally never apply to juried shows. This is for a multitude of reasons. Mainly, I don’t want to be part of a hodgepodge of artists being judged by often very I qualify judges.
