Really enjoying my dive into Urdu! It’s so fulfilling, and learning how to read it has been a personal goal for 11 years. The grammar is similar to Nepali, the script is modified from Persian, and there are many words that are similar/borrowed from languages I have some knowledge of (Arabic/Persian/Nepali). And the Nastaliq style? A lovely flourish on an already tremendous language. ❤️
