It’s not shoving it down your throat to provide context from the books that can explain some things in the show. As long as no one is purposefully spoiling it for you then it’s just part of the conversation.

They tend to do it rudely, like you are uninformed. I'm not uninformed, I just prefer to read better books (see, that was a rude comment I made, but that's how these comments come at us non-readers of Bridgerton)
