The same people who shit on the ‘80’s and ‘90’s physical defense by saying things like “that wasn’t basketball / throwing people to the ground isn’t defense / they were just thugs” etc, will in the same breath claim Jordan complained to Stern to get the rules changed (he didn’t) and bitch that the flagrant foul rule made it too soft and easy for him. So, which one is it? Pick one.

5 分鐘內	baseline_jordan	To clarify, MJ did not meet with Stern to campaign for rule additions. I know what did happen prior to the 1990-91 season, but I’m curious if anyone else does. Anyway, adding a flagrant foul rule simply did NOT prevent teams from flagrant fouling. In the ‘91 ECF, Pippen got elbowed in the head by Laimbeer and then pushed head first into the baseline cameras/seats by Rodman on the same drive.
