I like to imagine a timeline where Wes Anderson adapted the novels of Kurt Vonnegut to film rather than Rohl Dahl’s childrens books. Vonneguts precise verbiage just satisfies Andersons appetite for perfection and interest in the life of a scene, it would’ve really made a compelling collaboration. I don’t dislike all of Anderson’s work post Grand Budapest Hotel but I see a lack of inspiration for the story to justify the visuals.
