Just returned from Buenos Aires & their state of economy shocked me. A regular shirt in Zara which would be $30 at max in any other country is getting sold for $120. There are countless bookstores in the city but the books so exorbitantly priced that no one was actually buying any books. Food is so expensive in restaurants that one time when I was going to leave my tray of food with unfinished food (we ordered too much), an Argentinian couple came and requested if they could take our leftovers.😳

Anyone have more insight how things could change so drastically and how are the locals coping with this change.
16 小時內	David Rodríguez juanchodv	Did you pay with credit/debit card? Or did you exchange USD on the “street” (i.e. no official financial institutions) and then pay in cash in domestic currency? Not sure if it is still the case, but it used to be that the official exchange rate applied to card transactions was what actually made things look expensive.

一天內	Mafe Minuti Malanczuk media.fernanda	That's so much true. I live here and it's a disaster. Both economic and social politics from the new government are just insane. We have a new extreme right party in our country that basically gives a fuck about citizens and our BASIC rigths. The most dangearous thing is people really believing that this is the best option and that "soon it will be better". We're just living again the same lie during the 90's that ended up with a massive economic and social crisis. So sad :(
