I think I know what they mean, it's when we're trying to give them a logical solution to their problems instead of just conforting them, or proving that we're right instead of just letting them slide on some bullshit that doesn't really matter anyways I've dealt with a lot of emotional people, and a lot of times they just wanna see that you've got their back even if what they're doing is completely retarded So having emotional intelligence basically means letting them be kids for an hour or so
