I took myself on a date to Seal Beach, CA today. As i sat down on a bench with my ice cream, a man sitting next to me started chatting to me. Turns out he’s a manager in a store I was sitting by, just moved here from NYC a month ago (where I lived for 30+ years). He was in Turkish carpet business there but wanted a change, diff weather. He mentioned one of my favorite NYC stores, ABC Carpet & Home, the owner being his friend and how Turkish carpets were hard to sell these days because of cost. ⬇️
