OK fine, I’ll share my take on Brats: As a teen in the 80s I was obsessed with those movies. The doc made me feel more than just nostalgia; idk the word for it. Maybe bc it was such a specific topic that was a big part of my life. McCarthy clearly considers himself a Serious Actor and blames his ultimately middling career on the article (Narrator: it wasn’t bc of the article). But that’s OK, I enjoyed it, and hope it helped him come to terms with something that he’s obsessed over for decades.
