Last night, I recognized the privilege to have a flat tire. I waited six hours for a replacement and I was on facial trauma call, but nonetheless it got replaced. I recognize the privilege to have food, water, light, electricity, freedom of movement, appropriate medicines and instruments to successfully operate on my patients when so many people do not have access. As Eid Al Adha approaches, my heart breaks for every person who is suffering right now without any of these basic human rights 🫶🏽
