One time I was on an ecological conservation trip to Hawaii. We (a large group) were relaxing at the hotel when my Dad called abruptly about how a tsunami had hit Japan. Within about an hour, the entire hotel was being evacuated. We were directed to a high-school gym nearby. There was one radio to keep us company. We listened to the news and storm siren's for 12 hours waiting for things to pass. Fortunately the awful devastation never reached us. Has a natural disaster ever touched your life?
