My biggest pyrography struggle is creating balanced designs on wood. I’m used to freehanding without a preplan, which forces me to problemsolve but often prevents me from finishing pieces. I end up overloading with detail to distract from what I see as a poor composition. To address this, I’ve been burning designs on 3” rounds to work through potential challenges.
