Has anyone ever enjoyed dogs barking as background noise in establishing shots in film or TV? No seriously, can anyone explain to me what it adds? I've been around the world, and never experience the amount of barking that movies and TV shows portray, yet they are a constant thing in almost every etablishing shot in movies. Can any editors, sound editors, producers or directors please explain to me why you keep adding barking dogs?
