To the Death of War! from Dollars & Tents (2024) was previously called Stairway to Kyiv. I wrote it in early 2022 during the beginning of the current invasion and occupation of Ukraine. The song is, to me, about the end justifying the means. Slaughter for gold, among other causes of war. Stairway to Kyiv remains as a title; it is dedicated to Ukrainian people around the globe and to the memory of those no longer with us. It is dedicated to the countless victims of war everywhere.
