Don’t confuse your purpose with your calling. Your purpose is why you are here on this earth – it remains constant. Your calling, however, is where God is asking you to serve in different seasons of your life. While your purpose stays the same, your calling or assignment can evolve. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven.” Your purpose is the steady foundation, and your calling is how you fulfill that purpose in life.
