The irony is that I believe being fiscally conservative is smart policy—in the home. It’s not good societal policy. I can and have had reasonable disagreements with conservatives on financial policy. But the culture war aspect of modern conservatism is disgusting and unacceptable. Women can make their own reproductive decisions. LGBTQ+ people deserve dignity & the right to marry. Minorities deserve DEI policies. True American freedom is letting other people live authentically without fear.
