If he is gaining weight then he is eating plenty. Babies are very efficient at getting the milk out quickly. It isn't about how much time they spend at the breast, it's about how well they can get the milk out. You have a very good eater!

My babies have all fed that quickly. If they’re gaining weight in a healthy way then don’t stress. Only pump if you want to start a supply which isn’t a bad idea.

I wouldn’t worry at this stage if he’s growing and having enough wet nappies. ❤️

As long as baby is gaining weight has good diapers then I think you’re okay mama! Maybe you just have a super fast let down so baby gets filled up quickly 😊 congratulations on your LO ✨💕

I’ve never been told any of this by midwives / doctors, I think he’s fine as long as he’s gaining weight.

If he’s growing, no. My baby does the same and nurses every 1.5-2 hours and he’s HUGE. Growing as he should be and doing all the things. As long as baby is growing you’re good. I’ve pumped some to have a small stash since I leave the baby once a week. I don’t touch the pump other than that.

My babe was a snacker too. Didn't eat for very long but very often 👌he's healthy and never been underweight. I've never pumped, he pumps when he eats. I love watching the magic happen.

that's a myth and my baby was the same. Done after 5min and I used to have doubts, but no more. Trust your baby!

Mine did this for the first 2-3 weeks. He’s 6 weeks now and nurses much longer! The lactation consultant told me that when they’re brand new they sometimes just don’t have the stamina for a longer feed, but it’s fine as long as they’re gaining weight.
