So… I’m 76 years old this year. My mind is a bit slower. Sometimes it takes a moment to find the word that I’m looking for. And my memory isn’t as sharp as it used to be. You know what hasn’t happened? I’m not dumber. Or more racist. Or more homophobic. Or more misogynistic. Or more angry at the world. Or an agent of the theocratic right. Or laser focused on revenge for those who I believe have slighted me. That’s not how aging works. That’s why I’m cool with Joe.
