FOR REAL. I spent 15 years living on the equator but you know what we had? Dehumidifying air conditioners in every single space. Any time it gets >80f in a place that has no air conditioning and is insulated to keep heat *in*, it’s miserable. My house in Seattle currently feels hot and sticky and gross. Houses in places that regularly reach >90f are generally built for the heat and have AC. PacNW houses aren’t built for this. I’ll take the heat of the equator with AC any day over this situation.
