To all those that are new to Houston: yes, this is what hurricane season is like. Save the think pieces on why you hate it here. I’ve never seen so many people complain about a city that they voluntarily moved to because they had an amazing Sunday Funday and decided to make the move. You chose to come here, feel free to relocate back to where you came from. I love my city. Don’t be disrespectful. Be safe y’all! Houston

Texas in general has its own problems, but my issue is when something like this happens and folks go on rants about the infrastructure then add it, how much it cost, lines at restaurants, scammers, ain’t no good men/women, traffic, how dirty it is, etc. Then leave. People don’t understand what it takes to make change happen. Fixing a power grid doesn’t happen in a few weeks. If you know it’s coming, prepare yourself.
