I’ve been asked by new employees at my job if I “like it” because I’m older(29) and I’ve been here for 3+ years. And over the years, I’ve learned it isn’t about liking the job. Does it provide for my family to love comfortably? Yes. Is there a great work-life ratio? Yes. Is there a high level of respect and understanding? Yes. That’s why I stay. I realize I’m very fortunate to have the job I do because most aren’t so lucky. They either aren’t working or have a boss/job they absolutely despise.
