I haven’t been back to my home country Uganda in 6 six years. Am travelling back next week for a one month holiday and I am a bundle of nerves. Am overwhelmed but also excited. How have y’all felt travelling back to your home country after a long period of time ?

I went back home to southafrica after 5 years, and it was the most surreal experience. 🥹I’ve never been so excited to hear aita daar, hearing people that sound like me, the foooooood!!! The vibes! Even the water man, 😂nothing like home. But it was also equally overwhelming to see how much has changed and you don’t realize how much you change as well until you go back.
