Most new DJs can't mix without relying on effects. When they get in trouble they use what I have coined the "squid mix"—using effects to (blow ink) cover mistakes, just like squids use ink to escape a predator. The mix is going wrong so massive effects to hide the problem and play out the other side. Pure squid. Better to learn to mix properly, then having a go to cover up. @DJs
