Why does every formula u come across have vegetable oil as one of the main ingredients 😭 What’s a clean non toxic alternative 🙏🏻 I’ve been exclusively breastfeeding and want to have a back up on hand just in case!

Why? Because the point of formula is to mimick the specific nutrition profile of breastmilk, and believe it or not, the fatty acid profile in those oils is healthy and essential. Which is why you can’t just use butter or even regular milk fat — those options don’t mimick the specific mix of fats babies need/that we produce in breastmilk.

I was traveling without baby and had a freezer stash for him that I thought would be enough. And then the server outage that happened caused my travels home to be delayed! 😭😭 Supplemented goat milk formula kendamil for the weekend and pumped over 100+ ounces in the week without him to replenish freezer stash and hopefully avoid that scenario again! 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️
