I wonder how many of "my peers" were actually appreciating my work and how many of them were just in it for the reciprocation of likes/shares. I took a break from social media and when I came back just a couple of them stuck with me, a lot of them unfollowed me, most of them stayed connected but never interacts with my work even if I still do because I genuinely like their art. It's up to us artists to create genuine communities, it's not always instagram's fault! Art Threads
