I learned about Silent Bookclubs a while back but the one near me always posts on their IG about how they should change their name to the non-Silent bookclub and tbh it’s upsetting because if the expectation is that it’s a little socialization with an hour of quietly reading together & I show up and it’s 100% socialization, that defeats the purpose of silent bookclub.
