First off, this is America, there is no democratic process when an incumbent is running. I don’t know about you, but my primary options were Joe Biden or No Preference. Second, you weren’t actually voting for a candidate. You were voting for delegates and while delegates usually vote for the candidate they’re pledged to, DNC rules don’t actually require that they do so. We don’t do direct election for President.
