If Election Day were to be declared a national holiday, say via Executive Order, I know it'd make it easier for many people to vote, but would there be unintended consequences? If the post office was shut down for the holiday would that impact the dates mail-in ballots are post-marked and/or delivered? In many states those deadlines are immensely important, and I'd hate to see voters disenfranchised over it.
