True story: when my husband was in high school, he and his friends were Christmas caroling in NJ. They knock on one door, and who answers but Bruce Springsteen. They couldn’t believe it. They start to sing and he goes, “Hold on one sec,” runs off and leaves them at the door. A moment later, he returns with his guitar, proceeds to accompany them for several songs.
