I absolutely agree with this, but would also like to say I wish we could see more adult romantasy that is closed door! I want all the tension and yearning, but would love not having to choose between reading YA with teenage characters or skimming the smutty bits in order to have MCs nearer my age. 🫶 My favorite is when an author ends a chapter like a fade to black, then makes the next full chapter open door, so you can choose whichever mood you're in and either skip it or enjoy the smut. ❣️
